Brevard County Apostille Services

Miami Dade Apostille helps Space Coast residents prepare documents for use abroad. From a recorded marriage certificate in Titusville to academic records in Melbourne or Cocoa, the first step is identifying the issuing office and the version your overseas recipient needs. We coordinate preparation, the appropriate authentication submission and return from start to finish.

Start with the issuing authority and destination

  • An apostille authenticates an official signature or seal; it does not verify the contents or guarantee that a foreign recipient will accept a document for every purpose.
  • Confirm the exact record, required language and document age with the receiving authority.
  • Where the Apostille Convention applies with the United States, use the appropriate apostille route.
  • Other destinations may require authentication and additional legalization.
  • A Florida document, an out-of-state record and a federal background check may need different offices even when their owner lives in Brevard County.

Florida birth, death and marriage records

  • The Florida Department of State accepts qualifying birth and death certificates bearing the State Registrar's signature from the Bureau of Vital Statistics or county health department.
  • Marriage and dissolution certificates may come from the Bureau or the appropriate court clerk.
  • A notary-certified photocopy cannot replace a properly certified public record.
  • If the recipient asks for a divorce decree, check whether it needs the complete court judgment rather than a vital-record certificate summarizing the event.

Florida birth certificates: start with Vital Statistics in Viera

  • DOH-Brevard issues certified Florida birth records from 1930 onward, subject to eligibility and photo identification requirements.
  • Earlier Florida births must be requested through the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Jacksonville.
  • The county lists in-person birth-record service at 2565 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera, FL 32940, with mail and fax ordering options also available.
  • Check the current application before sending payment or identification.
  • A hospital souvenir certificate or a photocopy is not a substitute for the appropriate certified vital record.
  • Tell us the destination before ordering so preparation can be reviewed.

Court, marriage and recorded documents: request certified copies

  • Brevard's Clerk offers online requests through its Research & Copy Request Center, in-person service and mail requests for court documents, Official Records and marriage licenses.
  • Request certification explicitly; a copy obtained for personal reference may not be the version required abroad.
  • Identify the parties and the record or case you need.
  • For a marriage, use the completed certificate after it has been returned to the Clerk and recorded, rather than treating the pre-ceremony license as proof that the marriage occurred.
  • Ask the recipient whether a divorce application needs the complete judgment or a vital-record summary.

The Clerk uses different postal and courier addresses

  • For copy requests sent by USPS, the Clerk lists: Brevard County Clerk of Court, Attn: Research/Land Records, P.O. Box 2767, Titusville, FL 32781-2767.
  • For UPS, FedEx and similar carriers, the listed destination is 700 S. Park Avenue, Titusville, FL 32780-4015.
  • Call 321-637-5413 to confirm the department and delivery arrangements.
  • These are record-copy destinations, not the Tallahassee apostille office.
  • The Viera Clerk office at 2825 Judge Fran Jamieson Way is also separate from the Health Department's vital-record location at 2565 on the same road.

Florida Tech: match the academic record to the request

  • Florida Tech directs official transcript orders through the National Student Clearinghouse.
  • Its registrar explains that degree completion appears on the official transcript after the final degree audit; the university does not provide graduation completion letters.
  • If the overseas recipient needs proof of a completed degree, confirm that the awarded degree is shown before ordering.
  • Questions can go to [email protected].
  • For apostille preparation, ask the registrar about the required certification and signature before placing a standard transcript order.
  • The university's apostille information refers students to Florida's state filing instructions; it does not establish that every transcript order includes notarization or state forwarding.

Eastern Florida State College: attachments and delivery format

  • EFSC students can request transcripts through myEFSC; alumni without portal access can use Parchment directly.
  • The college's ordering guidance allows additional documents to accompany a transcript and offers official PDF and printed delivery.
  • Use that opportunity to discuss the recipient's instructions with the registrar before ordering.
  • An official electronic transcript is not automatically a notarized paper record ready for apostille.
  • Confirm whether the issuing official must sign a certification, what delivery format is needed and where the prepared record should be sent.
  • We can help coordinate the next step once the school confirms its preparation process.

Private documents, school transcripts and business records

  • Florida public-school or university transcripts need a registrar or issuing official's signature and notarization with a full notarial statement under state guidance.
  • For affidavits, powers of attorney and other private documents, confirm the required signing and notarial certificate before execution.
  • Florida business filings need an original state-issued certified copy or certificate of status rather than a simple online printout.
  • Each item should be reviewed individually so that the certification fits the document being submitted.

Notarization and apostille are different steps

  • Notarization prepares an eligible private document; it does not produce an apostille.
  • We can discuss remote online notarization after checking identity, witnesses, document suitability and recipient requirements.
  • It does not replace official certification of a public record.
  • Confirm preparation before signing or sending originals.

FBI reports follow the federal route

  • An FBI background check is a federal record and goes through the U.S. Department of State authentication process, not a Florida state apostille submission.
  • A local court record is not the same document as an FBI report.
  • If your overseas application asks for several records, share the complete list so we can coordinate state and federal submissions separately and help avoid sending the entire package to the wrong authority.

Coordinating documents across the Space Coast

  • Send the document list, issuing authorities, destination and recipient instructions.
  • We review which items need certified copies or eligible notarization, coordinate the appropriate state or federal submission and arrange return.
  • Translation services are available when required.
  • Miami Dade Apostille is a private coordinator, not a government agency or law firm; we do not issue apostilles or provide legal advice.
  • We assist clients across Brevard County, including Titusville, Melbourne, Palm Bay, Cocoa and the coastal communities listed below. Our Miami offices are separate from Brevard government offices.
