Apostille and Legalization for Exporters
US exporters regularly need apostilles and consular legalizations to move goods across borders. Miami Dade Apostille handles the full authentication chain — from notarization through state apostille or federal apostille to embassy legalization — so your shipments clear customs without delays.
Which Export Documents Need an Apostille?
Common export documents that require apostille or legalization include certificates of origin, commercial invoices, packing lists, FDA free-sale certificates, USDA phytosanitary and export certificates, distribution agreements, powers of attorney for customs agents, and corporate documents such as certificates of good standing and articles of incorporation.
Hague Countries vs. Non-Hague Countries
If the destination country is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, a state or federal apostille is sufficient. For non-Hague countries — including many in the Middle East, Africa, and parts of Asia — documents must go through embassy or consular legalization after the apostille. We handle both workflows from our Miami office.
How the Process Works
We review your documents, determine whether a state or federal apostille is required, coordinate notarization if needed, obtain the apostille from the Florida Secretary of State or the US Department of State, and arrange embassy legalization when required. Most apostilles are completed in 1–3 business days.
